1) Essential cookies (always active)

Used for:

• Website functionality
• Login/session management
• Security
• Payment processing (Stripe)
• Language and display preferences

These cookies are required and cannot be disabled.

2) Usage measurement (no cookies)

We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics and with our own page-view records. Neither uses cookies, and neither identifies individual visitors — we see how many times a page was opened, not who opened it.

3) Referral and attribution cookies (first-party)

Used only to learn which of our ads, links, or articles led to a sign-up. They are set by StayPeek itself, are not shared with third parties, and contain no name, email address, or visitor ID.

• ref_partner_slug / ref_partner_tag — the partner referral link you arrived from (90 days)
• sp_brief — the address of the last Host Brief article you read on our site (30 days)
• sp_acq_first — how you first arrived: the campaign (utm) values, the host name of the previous website (no paths or search terms), your country, and the time (90 days)
• sp_acq_last — the same values for your most recent visit from an ad link (30 days)

sp_acq_first and sp_acq_last are httpOnly, so scripts on the page (including ad pixels) cannot read them. If you subscribe to the Host Brief or apply for StayPeek within that period, the stored values are saved with your subscription or application so we can tell which ad or content brought you to us, by country; they are then kept for as long as that record. Deleting these cookies does not affect how the website works.

4) Advertising measurement — Meta Pixel and Conversions API

On our pages for Airbnb hosts (staypeek.com/hosts and the pages under it, including the Host Brief and the application form), we use the Meta Pixel to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited these pages. It is loaded only for visitors connecting from South Korea, and it is not used on guest-facing property pages or in the dashboard.

• Collected by Meta through your browser — pages you view on these host pages, actions you take there (subscribing to the Host Brief, answering “operating” or “preparing” to the optional property question, opening the payment form, completing a payment), IP address, browser and device information, and the cookies _fbp (90 days) and _fbc (set when you arrive from a Meta ad)
• Sent by StayPeek to Meta from our server (Conversions API) when you subscribe to the Host Brief or pay for an application — your email address in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256), IP address, browser information, the cookies above, and for payments the amount and plan. If you answer that you operate or are preparing to operate a property, we also send a separate “HostLead” event with that answer; “no” and no answer are not sent to Meta. When you request a free page preview at /hosts/preview, we send a Lead event with your email address and mobile phone number, both in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256). We may later send preview stage events (PreviewDelivered, PreviewOpened, PreviewExpired) with the same hashed values to measure the preview funnel. To send the payment event after checkout, we attach the cookies, IP address, browser information and page address to the payment session at our payment processor (Stripe) when you apply. This is not done for applications made inside the dashboard.

We use this only to measure which ads lead to subscriptions and applications and to decide whom our ads are shown to. Meta processes this information under its own Privacy Policy. To refuse collection in your browser, block or delete these cookies or change your Meta ad preferences. To stop the events we send from our server, email support@staypeek.com from the address you subscribed or applied with: we add that address, in hashed form only, to a do-not-send list, and from then on we do not send any subscription or payment event for it to Meta. This list cannot stop collection in your browser, because the browser pixel does not know your email address — use the cookie and ad-preference options for that.

Who runs these ads. Our Facebook and Instagram ads in Korea are run on our behalf by our Korean affiliate, Flixovia Co., Ltd., which manages the ad account and campaigns. The measurement data described above is stored in a Meta advertising dataset registered to Flixovia. Flixovia uses it only to measure StayPeek's ads and decide whom they are shown to, and may not use it for any other purpose. In Meta's tools Flixovia sees ad performance and event counts; it does not receive your email address (Meta itself receives only a hashed form) and has no access to our subscriber or customer database. Flixovia handles this on our instructions under an agreement with StayPeek.
