StayPeek User Guide
Getting Started
StayView is your hotel's digital concierge — a single page of curated local videos, a map, and a multilingual Concierge Guide that you share with guests by URL or QR code. This guide walks you through everything from creating an account to publishing your page and managing your subscription.
Create your account
- 1
Sign up
On staypeek.com, click "Apply Now" at the top right to open the sign-up screen. Enter your full name, email, and password, then click "Create account".
- 2
Confirm your email
We send a confirmation link to your email. Click it to activate your account — you will be taken straight to your dashboard.
- 3
Sign in anytime
Click "Log in" at the top right of staypeek.com (or go to staypeek.com/login) to sign in. Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the login page to set a new one.
Invitation code? If you were given a Founding Hotel invitation code, you do not enter it at sign-up. You enter it later, at the setup payment step, where it waives the one-time setup fee.
The 4-Step Journey
Getting your StayView page live follows four steps. The progress bar at the top of your dashboard always shows where you are. Sidebar menus unlock as you complete each step — a lock icon means a previous step is still pending.
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1. Register Property | Enter your hotel name, country, city, address, and a contact. Takes a minute. |
| 2. Pay Setup Fee | Pay the one-time setup fee that funds your curation build (or apply an invitation code to waive it). The exact amount is shown at checkout. |
| Curation (we work) | Our team curates local videos around your hotel over 5–7 business days. You just wait — we email you when your preview is ready. |
| 3. Review & Customize | Open the Concierge Builder, choose which videos guests see, add your logo, and publish. |
| 4. Subscribe | Start your monthly subscription — a plan based on your room-count tier, billed monthly with no lock-in. |
Preview first: your subscription starts only after you review your curated experience — nothing is billed monthly until you choose to begin.
Your Dashboard
Before setup is complete, the dashboard shows your progress bar and the action you need to take next (register, pay the setup fee, or subscribe). After you go live, it becomes your operations overview.
The operations overview shows
- Status — whether your subscription is Active, in a Promo Period, Past Due, or Suspended.
- Next Renewal — the date your current billing period ends.
- Active Slots — how many videos are currently published to guests, out of the slots available to your property.
- Guest Sessions — how many guests opened your page in the last 30 days.
- Guest Activity — how many times guests played your videos in the last 30 days.
- Quick links — shortcuts to Edit Experience, StayView URL & QR, and Billing.
Property Info
The Property Info page is where you keep your hotel's details and photos up to date.
- Hotel details — edit your property name, address, city, country, website, and contact information.
- Photos — upload up to 10 photos (PNG/JPG/WebP, 10MB each). Drag to reorder, and set one as the primary photo. You must confirm you hold the rights to each image before uploading.
- Contact — the contact name and email here receive your preview, billing, and operational notifications. This can differ from your login account.
Concierge Builder
The Concierge Builder is where you choose exactly what your guests see. Our team curates a pool of videos around your hotel; you pick which ones to publish and in what order. The builder opens once curation is complete (your preview is ready).
How the pool and slots work
The pool is every video our team curated for your area. Your slots are the videos you publish to guests — 30 to start, and every year from your go-live date you gain 10 more. The pool is larger than your slot count; you decide which make the cut, and you can swap them anytime.
Build your page, step by step
- 1
Select videos
Use the checkboxes in the list on the left to add videos to your guest page. A counter at the top shows how many of your slots you have used, and your current limit.
- 2
Reorder them
Drag the grip handle on a selected video to change its position. The order you set here is the order guests see.
- 3
Preview and inspect
Click any video title to preview it on the map. Expand the arrow to see place details such as address and phone number.
- 4
Filter and find
Use the filter tabs (All, New, Not Selected, Selected) to navigate quickly. New videos added to your pool carry a "New" badge.
- 5
Add your logo
Click the dashed square next to your hotel name in the header to upload a logo (200×200px, PNG/JPG/WebP, max 2MB). Logo changes save automatically — no need to publish.
- 6
Publish to Guests
Click "Publish to Guests" at the top. Your selection goes live immediately, and the first time you publish, your page becomes visible to guests.
Only published changes are visible to guests. If you change your video selection and leave without clicking "Publish to Guests", those changes are lost. (Logo changes are the exception — they save automatically.)
Languages
Each video comes with a Concierge Guide written in multiple languages. Guests pick their language on your live page, and the content adapts automatically — you do not need to translate anything yourself. The language selector inside the builder lets you preview how each language reads.
The builder shows a built-in Quick Guide (Basics, Logo, Publish, FAQ) via the help button, and a short welcome on your first visit. This manual covers the same ground in one place — use whichever you prefer.
StayView URL / QR
This page gives you everything you need to put your StayView page in front of guests: your unique URL and a branded QR code.
- Your URL — staypeek.com/your-hotel. Copy it with one click to share anywhere.
- QR code — download as PNG (for screens and standard printing) or SVG (stays sharp at any size, ideal for large signage). Your hotel logo is placed in the center automatically.
- Edit your URL — change the slug if needed. Past URLs redirect automatically, and the slug can be changed once every 30 days.
- Ways to use it — the page includes a dedicated guide with practical ideas for placing your URL and QR across the guest journey.
This page unlocks once your subscription is active (including any promotional period).
Billing & Subscription
The Billing page manages every payment for your property.
- Setup fee — a one-time payment that funds your curation build. It is fully refundable within 7 days of payment as long as your preview has not been delivered yet; after that it is non-refundable. An invitation code waives it entirely.
- Monthly subscription — a plan based on your room-count tier, starting only after you review your preview and choose to begin. Billed monthly, no lock-in.
- Promotional period — some promotions include a period with no subscription charge. The dashboard shows your billing date so there are no surprises.
- Cancel & reactivate — cancelling takes your page offline but preserves all your curated content. You can reactivate anytime to bring the page back instantly.
Cancelled subscriptions are dormant, not deleted. You can still open the Concierge Builder to review and adjust your content while offline.
Account & Properties
Account
- Update your profile and change your password from the Account page.
- Delete your account if you no longer need StayView (subscriptions must be cancelled first).
Managing multiple properties
- Run more than one hotel from a single account. Switch between them using the property switcher at the top of the sidebar.
- Add another property with the "Add property" button — each one goes through its own 4-step journey.
- Every setting (videos, logo, URL, billing) is per-property, so switching changes the whole dashboard context.
FAQ & Troubleshooting
A sidebar menu is locked. Why?
Menus unlock as you complete each step. A lock means a previous step is still pending — for example, the Concierge Builder unlocks after curation is complete, and StayView URL / QR unlocks once your subscription is active.
I published, but guests do not see my changes.
Make sure you clicked "Publish to Guests" after editing — only published changes go live. If you still see stale content, refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R) or open it in a private window.
How long does curation take?
About 5–7 business days. We email your contact address when your preview is ready to review in the Concierge Builder.
How many videos can I publish?
You start with 30 slots, and every year from your go-live date you gain 10 more. The counter at the top of the Concierge Builder always shows your current limit. You can swap published videos as often as you like — deselect one and select another, then publish.
New videos appeared in my pool. What do I do?
They show a "New" badge — filter by "New" to find them, add the ones you like, and publish. We keep the pool tidy on an ongoing basis: places that have closed and videos that can no longer be played are removed, and the gaps are filled. The places on your page are reviewed every March and September.
My status did not update after a payment.
Payments confirm within a few seconds. The dashboard refreshes automatically; if it seems stuck, reload the page.
Still stuck? Use Contact Support at the bottom of the sidebar to email our operations team.
